Webinar: Physical Therapy Evaluation & Treatment After Concussion: Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Clinical Guidelines

This webinar will review the Clinical Practice Guideline for Physical Therapy Evaluation and Treatment after Concussion/mTBI and will give an overview of the recommendations from the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy, Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy and Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy of the APTA.  

The Guideline Development Group sifted through all the literature (until 2018) and used the critical appraisal ratings to assign a level of evidence to each outcome and then to develop recommendations based on the strengths and limitations of the body of evidence.  These recommendations will be reviewed with case examples to help attendees see direct application to patient care that can be implemented in clinic the next day.  Flags for referrals, the importance of the inter-disciplinary team approach, and patient educational points will also be discussed as well as updates from the most recent Sports Concussion International Conference in Amsterdam.
