Dr. Danit Macklin PT, has once again spearheaded a fantastic concussion management educational webinar series for Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants. This series was initiated last year and had such positive feedback, the APTANJ Vestibular SIG, chaired by Dr. Macklin and Dr. Jennifer Stoskus PT, decided to provide an updated series this year.
Dr. Macklin was joined by her colleague Dr. Tara Porfido PT, who recently joined Balance & Concussion Therapy Center, in presenting the first webinar of the series. Dr. Porfido brought her expertise as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University Physical Therapy School to the discussion of the role of the PT in concussion management.
This webinar reviewed the 2020 Clinical Practice Guideline. Following it will be weekly webinars covering the four domains that fall within the PT scope of practice.
