How important is breakfast during concussion recovery??

Recently a patient emailed me with this question: "I've noticed that when I first wake up I usually feel kind of bad and as my morning progresses. by the time I eat breakfast and sit down to start working in my office I feel a LOT better."

Notice this - Once the patient ate something, his symptoms reduced dramatically!

After a concussion, you need to give your body nourishment asap in the morning. Remember that nutrition is very important: 3 healthy meals a day or similar and lots of hydration. So when we wake up, it's the longest period of time that you have not eaten! Break your fast - give that body some fuel! 😁
